Sitting here blog stalking when instead I should be writing my paper thats due in an hour and a half. Why are blogs so addicting? To my credit though the paper I have to write only has to be one page..I can put it off for a couple more minutes right?
Ahh the fine art of procrastination :)

TV Obsessions

For Christmas we got a subscription to Netflix (thanks Aaron and Heather!), it was such a good gift and we have loved it! Maybe a little too much. We have become OBSESSED with two shows: Dexter and 24. I don't know if any of you have watched these but they are amazing!

Dexter is about a serial killer that you can't help but root for. Now you may be thinking why would you root for a serial killer, well because even though he kills people he only kills other killers never innocent people. If you are still skeptical just watch the show..you'll understand.

The other show that we started watching is 24. I've known many people that have loved this show but I just never cared enough to try, but one night we decided to check it out and it was all over from there, we were hooked. They always have to end the show in the worst place possible so you can't help but watch the next one. I don't know what I would do if I had to wait a week inbetween each episode, it would drive me nuts!

Regardless to say we have been spending way to much time watching tv lately but we just can't help it. But if you are looking for a good show to watch I definitely would recomend these two, hopefully you'll enjoy them as much as we do!

Unexpected Words

You know how people always say 'tell the people you care about how you feel because you never know what tomorrow will bring'. Well a few days ago I got a surprising email. It was from one of my best childhood friends that I haven't seen or really talked to in way to many years. She told me that she had been thinking about me and asked me how I was doing. As the email went on she told me how I had influenced her life and how she has always admired a certain quality of mine. I couldn't help but be filled with emotion. It was truly amazing to have this experience of a random unexpected but certainly appreciated act of love. Ever since I read that email I have not been able to stop thinking about it and the lesson that it has taught me. I encourage all of you to reach out and tell someone how much you care about them because you really don't know how much it can touch their lives.

1 2 3 and Break!

Finals week is over Hallelujah! I don't think I've ever been as ready for a semester to be over as I was for this one. This semester signifys the end of chemistry classes for Spencer, that lucky duck..I still have one more..We are both ready for this much needed break and the opportunity to spend time together that doesnt involve studying. Because we've been so busy we haven't had much time to do festive activities sooo everyday this week we've decided we are going to do something to celebrate the holidays! Tonights activity is the Christmas lights at Temple Square!

Bad Timing

Thats right I am SICK! Not that there is really a good time to be sick..but now is especially bad because it's time for finals. I am congested, nauseous and my throat hurts beyond measure. Last night as I was trying to fall asleep all I could focus on was how much breathing hurt which led to a looong night and no sleep, needless to say I am exhausted. All of this is making it really hard for me to concentrate on school but the show must go on. I have 1 test down, 3 papers and 4 tests to go and I just hope I make it to winter break. On the up side Spencer has been extra sweet and has taken such good care of me providing anything and everything that I ask for along with unexpected but much appreciated back rubs.
(Please let me get better soon...thanks!)

Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Football

So due to the crappy weather both here and in Seattle our family decided to stay home. We were soo bummed but according to my Aunt the city was basically shut down so we wouldn't have been able to do all the things we had planned anyways. It turned out to be a really fun Thanksgiving weekend and I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to spend some time with our families.
We decided that since we were going to be home we might as well do something a little adventurous..sooo we ventured out at 2 am to do some black friday shopping. We had a few things that we really wanted on our list and we only ended up getting 1 of those things because of all the crazy shoppers, but we figured that it was ok because this was our first black friday experience so we were amateurs. However we still ended up getting a TON of stuff. We shopped from 2-7 am then came home to take a litt le nap and after recharging we headed out again around 11 and didn't stop until 7 pm. I am so surprised that Spencer lasted so long and even more surprised that he was excited about it. I'm so glad that we went it was such a fun experience!
Football, football, football!! In case you didn't know the Byu vs Utah game was this weekend so of course we had to watch. It was a very stressful game to watch and it gave me quite the headache. Needless to say it was anything but boring and it all came down to a field goal kick for Byu. They definitely started celebrating early thinking that they were going to win because how often do people miss field goals right? The mighty Utes pulled through and blocked the kick making the final score Utah 17-Byu 16. It was a great way to end the last rilvary game! GO UTES!!!
Overall the weekend was amazing! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed spending so much time with my hubby! I'm dreading school starting again tomorrow, but there's only a few more weeks left until winter break..

In 1 week..

..I get to put up our Christmas decorations! I am beyond excited!! Now don't get me wrong I love Thanksgiving and it's a close call to which holiday is my favorite. But one thing about Christmas thats better than Thanksgiving are the decorations. I just love the way Christmas decorations make me feel, the twinkle of lights and the beauty of a decorated tree never fails to make me smile. I am especially excited this year because it is our first christmas as a married couple and we have our own home that we get to decorate however we (or should I say I ) want. I have been collecting decorations from the day we got engaged..seriously. Spencer is a good sport and acts excited when I show him my purchases. My collection of Christmas fun has gotten pretty large, however it's not quite complete yet, there are still a couple of special items I need to find but regardless I will get to transform our house and fill it with Christmas spirit very very soon. I can't wait!!!
