21st Birthday

So this post is really late..my birthday was on August 20th but with everything going on I've had a hard time blogging but I am trying to catch up.
My birthday this year was amazing! It was a 3 day event starting off on thursday. Spencer sent me away so he could get things ready and when I got home I was pleasantly surprised by a clean apartment with candles lit, the table set with beautiful flowers and our favorite classical music playing. Spencer had made some pizza dough and sauce and had our favorite toppings spread out. He thought that it would be fun to make it together instead of him making it for us and it definitely was fun. He tried to teach me how to throw the dough in the air and spin it but I was very unsuccessful, it's a good thing that he's so professional at it thanks to his Litza's days. It was sooo yummy and we got to try out the pizza stone we got for our wedding! After dinner we took off to go get gelato for dessert, I can't tell you how much I love gelato! And when we got back home he gave me this:

I have been dying to get a gold watch forever and this one is PERFECT! Not to big not to small, it fits juuust right :)

The next day Friday my actual birthday I didn't have to work or go to school it was so relaxing. Spencer surprised me that morning with another present which I was not expecting, he got us John Mayer tickets!! John Mayer is my favorite and he is amazing in concert I have been talking about how much I wanted to go for months and months so I think that he got the hint. Anyways the reason Spencer and I had celebrated the night before was because my family was going to be in town for just one night and it happened to be on my birthday. It was so fun to see them all again, even though they were just here for the wedding I was soo busy and didn't really get to spend any time with them, so I was so excited when I found out that they were going to be here for my birthday. What an awesome gift! They got in around 8 pm and my aunt who is an amazing cook started right away to make a yummy dinner. Then for dessert my mom had gotten a chocolate cake from Magelby's which if you've never had you should because it is delicious especially with their homemade whipped cream and raspberry sauce YUM! We stayed up late talking for hours, I was so glad to be able to spend that time with them.

To top off my birthday weekend on Saturday we went to Wendover. I mean I was turning 21 so I felt obligated to do something of the sort. Spencer, me and my brother headed up there in hopes of winning some $$. Well I ended up losing $40 but Spencer made up for it by winning $50 so it all evened out. We played blackjack which is my favorite and we tried out the slots but I just don't understand them..maybe i'm dumb but I think they are confusing..Anyways and then at the end of the night we decided to try out our luck at Keno because the sales guy at Macy's had told us his awesome story about winning on two different occasions for a grand total of $7,000. We weren't as lucky as he was but it was still fun and I'm glad that we went!

I had the best 21st birthday I could've asked for and I am so thankful to everyone for making it so amazing especially my wonderful husband thanks for being so thoughtful I love you sooo much!
